In 2025, Voodoo Voodoo partnered with Altesse Studio, a Living Heritage Company founded in 1875 and known for French artisanal brushmaking.

Following the launch of Altesse Studio in 2022 and its two lead collections — Prestige, a handmade luxury line, and Beauté, a premium performance range — Voodoo Voodoo was brought in to create a cohesive foundation that could unify the collections and balance heritage with a modern perspective.

These principles became the quiet pulse behind every design decision: that each brush isn’t disposable fashion but a companion made to endure, comfort, and be passed on.

The updated brand voice is elevated yet approachable, confident without distance, warm without sentimentality. It reframes care as ritual—expertly communicated with softness and grounded authenticity. The brand architecture was streamlined: all collections unified under Altesse Studio, with Prestige and Beauté already available, and the Expert collection set to launch soon. Product naming is simplified into intuitive verbs — Detangle, Care, Style — creating an intuitive system that turns each brush into part of a daily practice.

Altesse Studio’s identity was redefined through the creation of a new visual language — one that honours its heritage while speaking with clarity to a contemporary audience. Guided by the idea of time, the system carries tradition forward, elevates daily rituals, and is built to endure. The result is a platform both recognisable and renewed: consistent, expansive, and designed to sustain the brand across every expression. Typography and colour were central to the brand’s evolution. Avenir remains the foundation, its modern clarity balanced by the editorial depth of PP Right Serif Light and PP Right Serif Spatial Fine, a pairing that brings rhythm and expression. Founders Grotesk Mono adds precision, echoing the detail of craftsmanship.

The colour palette was also completely redefined, establishing a distinct new territory. At its core, Altesse Burgundy — deep, resonant, and recognisable — is supported by Prestige Gold, Beauté White, and Expert Blue, a system that distinguishes each collection while holding the brand together. The website was designed as Altesse Studio’s digital flagship — not simply an e-commerce platform, but a calm, editorial space where heritage, innovation, and storytelling coexist.

Extending the typographic system, colour palette, and editorial language, Voodoo Voodoo shaped a digital environment that mirrors the brand’s core principles: longevity, intention, and ritual. It stands as both a place of commerce and a stage for Altesse Studio’s philosophy of time and care to unfold. The art direction was conceived as a storytelling framework — an expression of time through multiple narratives that unfold in intimate, everyday moments. Brushes become part of lived rituals: the quiet rhythm of mornings and evenings, gestures of care that repeat and evolve across generations.

Light and shadow bring cinematic intimacy, revealing textures, transitions, and the quiet beauty of use. Focus shifts to the hand in motion, hair in movement, the tactility of bristles — details that transform simple routines into elevated acts of permanence and connection. This layered approach created a visual DNA that celebrates transition and ritual, carrying across campaigns, product storytelling, and digital platforms to present Altesse as a brand grounded in intimacy, longevity, and meaning.

Social media was reframed as an extension of Altesse Studio’s world. A suite of templates and a refined editorial language ensured consistency, while curated themes brought depth and variety. From lifestyle and still-life to heritage, craftsmanship, product rituals, and thoughtful gifting, each strand revealed a different facet of the brand.

The result is a feed that balances storytelling with clarity, reinforcing Altesse Studio’s philosophy of time — celebrating not only the brushes, but the people, processes, and rituals that give them meaning.
