The MAK building on the Stubenring, the "Ferstel Wing", is celebrating its 150th birthday.
For this anniversary, many things will be open to everyone - and some for the first time: from the former management to the roof and a new digital guide. Visitors are invited to explore, discover, touch and try out.
Birthday candles should not be missing on such a holiday. That is why the columned hall is decorated with larger-than-life candles, which also serve as a three-dimensional signage system. Colorful stripes and candles highlight the highlights in the room. They tempt guests to enter rooms or spy some architectural details through binoculars.
The graphic design refers to the details of the historicist architecture. This can be found on posters, playing cards, tattoos, labels or flyers.
