On September 17, 2026, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez posted an image of the European flag with a red Canadian maple leaf beside its circle of twelve stars.

The shared image offered a quiet expression of solidarity, placing Canada alongside Europe at a moment of renewed connection and possibility.Inspired by the Spanish PM's post, our concept repositioned the maple leaf as a mathematical multiplier, a way to express Canada’s ability to strengthen partnerships, amplify ideas and contribute to something greater. Neue Montréal, from Montréal-based type foundry Pangram Pangram, became the project’s typographic foundation and provided a local connection. The lockup unites the emblems of Canada, Québec and Montréal: the maple leaf, fleur-de-lys and city logo. Reigning Champ joined the project to supply garments made in Canada, showcasing the country’s innovative manufacturing and design. Photographed on location at the former Expo67 grounds, the birth-place of modern Canadian design.
